Argonauta

Cal 2-46
My husband, Gregory, owns a Cal 2-46 ketch named Argonauta.  At 46 feet long and weighing in at almost 20 tons she is made to cross oceans!  She is a center cockpit designed motorsailer with an aft cabin and a v-berth for guests.  We use mostly solar power and are very self-sufficient when sailing. This Cal is of Lapworth design and was built in California by Jensen Marine.
Argonauta is a great blue water cruiser and makes for a nice alternate lifestyle when I am not in Kentucky.
She also has a dinghy appropriately named "Pony".

Gregory sails around on his sailboat much of the year.  In the fall
we head South down the East coast, beginning in the Chesapeake Bay area
and stopping over in Cocoa Beach to await weather to cross over to the Bahamas.
Fall 2009 we are well on our way south and plan on being in
Exumas by Thanksgiving. We may spend some time in Nassau this year. I will come back to
Kentucky for tax season then back to the boat in late April.  Greg will stay in the Bahamas
all winter sailing around bagging lobster and fighting off the sharks!
